As I have just written in one of my blogs: http://notestoneunturned.blogspot.com/2010/01/it-has-been-forty-years-for-me.html I've just reached the 40-year mark in the IT industry (that's not my age, just time in the industry).

Well, it appears that IBM's IMS database is also of a similar vintage in the industry, and also still going strong, see the article at http://www-931.ibm.com/bin/newsletter/tool/landingPage.cgi?lpId=1649&open&cm_mmc=5227-_-n-_-vrm_newsletter-_-10121_112630&cmibm_em=dm:0:17273924

We both, IMS and me, refuse to lie down and die just yet!
